Mega-Net EHR Cloud: Where We Are Right Now
Mega-Net EHR Cloud: Where We Are Right Now
For years, Mega-Net HospitalPro ran on hospital LANs across Nigeria — solid, familiar, but tied to a single building. Today we're rebuilding that same promise for the cloud: one platform any clinic, hospital, or multi-branch network can run their whole operation from — patient records, scheduling, billing, and more — from anywhere, on any device.
Here's a plain look at what's actually working today.
Built for how Nigerian healthcare billing really works
Mega-Net EHR Cloud is built around NHIS and HMO billing from the ground up — not bolted on afterward. The system handles:
- Capitation and fee-for-service billing side by side
- Configurable tariff codes per HMO/payer (because every HMO publishes its own rates, and they change)
- Both insured and out-of-pocket, self-pay patients, cleanly, without forcing everyone through a claims process
- Claim status tracking from submission through payment
What's live right now
Patient Registry — full patient records, encounters, medical history, and Next of Kin details, all in one place.
Admissions & Inpatient Nursing — bed assignment with protection against double-booking, medication administration with safeguards against duplicate doses, and clear discharge pathways, including sensitive cases like AMA and death discharges, handled with care.
Scheduling — provider calendars, appointment booking, and self-service screens so staff can manage their own availability and resources without waiting on an admin.
Surgery — full status tracking through a procedure's lifecycle, with safeguards to prevent conflicting updates.
Billing — invoicing, payments, and claims, with locking to prevent two staff members from processing the same payment or claim at once, and a full Void Invoice feature for correcting billing mistakes the right way — transparently, with a required reason, never by just deleting a record.
Radiology — imaging orders, studies, and radiologist reports, including a new critical-finding alert system: when a report flags something that needs urgent attention, the right staff are notified and have to acknowledge it personally before moving on.
Financial Sentinel — an AI-assisted layer that quietly watches for unbilled services, duplicate transactions, billing pattern issues, and stale claims, and explains what it finds in plain language, so nothing slips through the cracks of a busy billing office.
What's underneath, quietly
A lot of what makes a hospital system trustworthy isn't visible in a screenshot. Every clinical action in Mega-Net EHR Cloud is logged — who did what, and when. Clinical records are never edited away; corrections are tracked, not erased. And underneath the day-to-day workflows, we've spent real time hardening the system against the kind of double-clicks and race conditions that, in a busy ward, can otherwise cause real problems — two nurses recording the same dose, two clerks processing the same payment.
What's ahead
We're continuing module by module — validating the workflows that matter most in a real hospital day, and building out reporting and demo walkthroughs for facilities ready to make the move from paper or from older LAN-based systems.
If you run a clinic, hospital, or health network in Nigeria and want to see where this is headed, reach out — we'd love to show you what's live today.
